I think I've been to every single craft fair ever held in the last 11-12 years and I always find something new that I just have to buy. (This is where Don just sighs.)
Congratulations to our Events and Activities staff for setting up the fair this year in spite of all the construction hazards. It all looked great. In fact, I think we had more room to get around between the tables in the SanTan room than we used to have in the ballroom. Again, our weather was beautiful!
A required stop on the shopping tour is definitely our devoted group of people who work so hard to support the local Cancer Support Center. Our generous residents hand craft items for sale and the baked goods are phenomenal.
LOVE those peanut butter cookies and breads.
Thanks also to our devoted kitchen staff serving coffee and lunch from their temporary cramped quarters.
We tiptoed into the open doorway of the ballroom yesterday to sneak some photos for you.
From there we drove over to the softballfield to watch a little batting and throwing practice.
This cool machine can pitch the ball to a batter and/or field it high to the outfield. Great way to get in the extra practice.
Bill Sheedy looks quite at home up there in the "crow's nest" by the announcer's station.
The season schedule is posted.
Come on out to the ballgame and cheer for our PC team starting November 14 at 9:00.
Along with the team Rosters.
It's still early in the season, but the poker group is already quite large. They'll have to cut off participation at 96 players per event as that's all the room they have for tables and chairs. It's a very popular game!
CAT AND MOUSE TAILS:
Ashley was back to play with Cat again. Someone needs to get this little girl a kitten of her own. (Hint Hint to Grandma Ann Larue).
Mouse used to curl up on my desk next to the computer when I worked in the mornings. Cat on the other hand, loves to sit on my shoulders. It's VERY hard to concentrate with a furry purring motor at my ears.
