Holiday Overload

I've been too busy to make a blog post but I'm betting you've been too busy to sit down and read anyway.  What a wonderful holiday season!  So lucky to spend it here with so many friends.

Patio parties abound as we soak up the sunshine with friends and good food.

What a beautiful scene!

Club parties are plentiful.  Duplicate bridge held a big yummy pot luck with cards following.

Monday morning coffee at the bistro patio continues.

We enjoy hearing from our General Manager, Lisa Harold.

The crows nest at the softball field is progressing.

New houses keep coming in.

Work continues at the athletic pool.

OMG!  Anyone having telephone problems???

Lots of activity at the dog agility park.

Light poles and fencing are getting a fresh coat of paint.

The last of the tennis courts have been poured.

Hey.....check out the neat bean bag toss game at the south pavilion.  Another chance for FUN!

Tennis players are active.

And occasionally Don and I get to go out on a "date night".  We thank everyone for the gift cards.  They are definitely our FAVORITE!  It doesn't matter which restaurant as we just enjoy going out.  THANK YOU to everyone for the thoughtful gifts.  It makes these hours at the computer worth while.

Softball and winter sky

Our poker group is growing!  Wednesday's attendance is so large that we split the group into two separate tournaments.  The Adobe Room gets pretty crowded so we're hoping for expansion possibilities.

Want to come play?  It's certainly a fun  and friendly group.  Lessons for Texas Hold'em and Omaha are held on Wednesday mornings.  Even if you know the game, come to a lesson or two and learn about our table rules for the game and etiquette.

Monday Hold'Em tournament:  6:15
Every other Tuesday is Ladies Night 6:15
Opposite Tuesdays is Omaha High Only
Wednesdays Hold'Em tournament 6:15
Thursdays Hold'Em $20 game  6:15
Friday Hold'Em  6:15
Saturday Omaha High Low (one rebuy available) 12:45
Sunday Omaha High Low  6:15

The softball group is excited to see a chalk line representing their promised crows nest for the scorers and announcers.  Be patient guys. It's coming.

Why are the stands so empty????????  Come on out to the ballgames!!  Cheer for our teams.  You can always check their schedule on the softball blog for game times.  Della Bass is doing a great job posting for the teams.  Here's a link to their blog:  http://palmcreekballteams.blogspot.com/

Good sportsmanship and friendly smiles at the end of each game.

Volunteers prep the field for the next game.

Monday morning starts off with a stormy winter sky.  Monday morning coffee is held in the Adobe Room on cold or rainy days.  Get tickets for this in the Activities Office.

I wasn't the only one taking photos of the clouds.  Say hi to Cheri and Maureen.
