Here we are having morning coffee on the patio and watching it rain! This certainly doesn't happen very often! Seldom do we have rain in the mornings but that's okay. We take it whenever it comes. No morning rounds today but I hope we can catch up in the afternoon.
I marvel at all the doves on the golf course pecking away looking for some kind of grass or spurge seeds. I bet they can't wait till reseeding time. I'm sure Jim has to order an extra ton or two of seed to make up for what the birds will consume at planting time. This is just one photo of a small section of golf course, but there are birds like this all over the course.

Indoors in the cool air conditioning, Lillie, Avis and I are playing cards on a NEW poker table. I should say "newly refinished" poker table. After sampling several different style of tables, it was a unanimous decision to stick with the current tables but just have them refinished. These tables are nice and sturdy and with the center pedestal, we can easily seat eight players....unlike the trial tables that had four legs to contend with. With all new black mesh adjustable chairs, the poker players should be happy. Thank you to Sun Communities for supporting our ever growing poker gang.

Most of the new roads got paved yesterday.
Looking at this morning's rainy weather, I bet they wish they could have finished yesterday. They still have some to go so may be delayed even more.
We had our monthly bingo game last night but only had 10 players! Ray and Renee Yeager were the big winners. I believe they each won at least three times taking home the majority of the night's winnings.
Photos from yesterday: I guess there's only one way to dig those small circumference holes....and that's with MAN power. Hard work in our unforgiving desert soil. We have to have proper footings for the new bistro roof, however.
