Monday Chat

Whoops.........I had one more photo I meant to post with the RC airplane guys.

I really enjoyed our conversation with them last week and I certainly admire their toys.  Go out there early some Wednesday morning to watch the group at play.

Anyone having trouble with the internet connection recently?  Remember to write out a work order by the concierge desk in the front lobby and drop it in the "work order box" located there.  Gary Lambert needs to know when we're having connection problems so he can identify the source of the problem.  If no one complains that the connection is broken, he can't do much to fix it.

Thank you to Lisa and Sun Communities for getting a new concrete base and special covering for the batters box on the softball field.  The players are very appreciative so spent their day doing the completion around the new base.  Duh........I didn't even know there was a base under a batter's box until JD explained it to me.

Games will start this month so watch for the schedule and come cheer for our teams.  It's GREAT FUN!  .............and you can get a yummy burger or sandwich at the Sports Grill.

I've seen Vicki Vaughn walking a couple different dogs this week so stopped her for a chat.  You might recognize Vicki as she also works security at the front gate and was a pet ambassador last season.  Vicki loves the animals so is doing puppy sitting, etc. in her spare time.  I know that many folks are occasionally looking for someone to watch their pets or at least take the dogs for a walk on occasion.  You can reach her at Site 951.

If any other readers are willing to do doggie day care (or kitty care)......send me an email and I will list your name here as there is a definite need for this kind of service.

What was that big party in the Santan Room on Sunday afternoon????  It was a BIG 25th anniversary party for Doug and Mona Conkle.

Lots of food, dancing, and karaoke.  Congratulations to a very happy couple.

WELCOME BACK EVENT

Our big annual welcome back party has a little twist this year.  It will be held this Wednesday, November 11, to coincide with Veterans Day and is being called the Freedom Festival.  There is still time to get your tickets and tickets are important as this is a catered event and the park is hoping to sell out to meet the expense.  You can't beat the price as for $5 you get a sandwich, chips, drink, AND an ice cream for dessert!
HURRY!!!!!

RENTALS

Did you know the resort now has 58 rental houses available plus 26 brokered homes for rent?  January through March is the peak season so rentals are usually for a three month period but during non-peak, you can rent for shorter terms.  Having family members come for a few days??  How convenient to have them stay here in the park instead of a hotel!    Talk to Tami Keen in the rental office (extension 8933)  for more details.

POTS OF PETALS

Watch your mailbox for a flyer announcing the revised "Pots of Petals" program that may be available this year.
