Tennis Anyone?

Logo forwarded by Jim Gill

Our Palm Creek tennis club held an "open house" type of event this Saturday.  They invited one and all to stop by for a visit and a FREE taco salad lunch.  GREAT!  (and thank you!)

Marion Nelson (our wonderful new Special Events Director) was there to salute the club and also to take advantage of a quick tennis lesson from Larry Marik (center).  Glenn Carter, the tennis club president, was there to greet Marion and fill us in on their club activities.

Marion appears to be quite an athlete!  She threw the first pitch at the softball event and made it a strike right in the pocket......and today she was hitting those tennis balls with power!

She handles our Special Events like a pro too!

The tennis club now has over 130 paid members and is growing.  They love their newly re-surfaced courts (and, of course, wish for at least four more) but all eight courts appear to be busy every morning.   Stop by to watch sometime.  It's fun!  The group offers lessons, lots of social play, plus league teams.  "Social" is a good word for the club as they love potlucks and happy hours and special events under their pavilion.
