We had beautiful Arizona sunshine and warm temps to kick off opening day of the winter softball season. Our Palm Creek General Manager, Lisa Harold, was present at a brief ceremony to wish the teams well.
Our Special Events Director, Marion Nelson, had the honors of throwing out the first ball..........and it was right on target for a strike. Sign that girl up!!
At the end of the ceremony, it was planned to play music for the national anthems of both the United States and Canada......but as Murphy's Law would have it, at the last minute there were technical problems and the music wouldn't play. Thank you to one of our staff members (Angela) who stepped up to the microphone and did a beautiful job of leading us in singing the anthem. Among her duties, Angela keeps up the Palm Creek Facebook page. Now we know she has other talents as well.
