How exciting to watch the first section of the new sewing room enter the park this afternoon! I salute the young truck driver that safely delivered the load through traffic and narrow roads.
They managed the tight turn from Cottonwood into the north gate without incident. Good work guys! Our rangers were there to assist with traffic control.
Jim Dawson and Wendell were present as well. The driver was a very capable young man with a HUGE responsibility.
The unit slowly wound it’s way down Oasis.
The unit was parked near the ball field until it will be installed. The next section is supposed to be delivered tonight.
The weather today was absolutely perfect for a softball game. Don and I just HAD to go watch the game, cheer on the teams, chat with the other spectators, and (of course) enjoy one of those huge delicious hamburgers.
Give a hearty salute to the steadfast volunteers who staff the burger shack!
Yes…..and Bill is still at the announcer’s stand with microphone in one hand and the other on the score board controls.
Games are played every Thursday so come on down, join the crowd, and have a great day.
Again………….while we’re out having fun, our maintenance crews are taking care of us. Thanks guys!
Fernando and crew finished putting in some nice concrete pavers along a pathway by the north pavillion. It was no small task!
All this happening while the crop duster buzzes overhead.
See all those nasty dark spots on my camera lens??? That happened while I was out taking the movie clip of our big dust storm. The lens filled up with sand particles and I just can’t seem to get rid of them. Dang!
I love to drive by the ‘puppy park’ and watch the dogs at play. Sometimes I think the people have as much fun visiting as the dogs do.
