Library Patio, Tree trim news, pump action, stats

Big news item for the day:  All the bushes are being removed from in front of the library area so they can enhance the little patio there.  The seating area has been there for the last couple years but seldom used because it was so surrounded by the bushes.  It will be nicer and cleaner to have the area open for use.

While out exploring, we came across Jessie from our landscape crew.  He was hard at work (105 degrees) clearing up some brush and debris from repairing a water line break in the area.

Jessie showed us the old water line valve they had dug up to replace.  It's amazing to see what time and corrosion can do to the pipes under ground.

Smile, Wave, and Say hi to Jessie and our crew when you see them.  Jessie has been with Palm Creek for almost 8 years.  Thank you, Jessie!

I was wondering why our contract tree trimmers would occasionally skip a tree.  Answer:  Some trees are taller and require special equipment.

It must be a real blessing to our PC staff to have a contractor doing the palm trees.  Now our crew can focus on maintenance all around the park.

We stopped Neil Jeffers to see what was on his agenda for the day.  He is battling the repair of two pumps in the park.  Without a pump working properly, water in the ponds and creek don't flow as they should.  Hope I can catch the action when the big crane shows up to pull the pump.

Sewing room.

Our dedicated sewers and quilters must be busy at work as we always see vehicles parked nearby.

The flag is at half staff today.
