Photo from 2017, Moving 272, Cholla Art

Don was cleaning up some old files on his computer (wonder of wonders!) and came across this old video clip.  Fun to see how far we've come since then.  November 4, 2017

Watch from You Tube:  November 4, 2017

Nice scene coming home from the pool last night.

Water pipe repair is finished.
Now just have to wait for road repair.

Tom Gottfried showed us his latest project.  Tom is working with Phil Bond from Avacado Nursery.  They are teaming up on a new project where Tom scours the desert for old cholla skeletons.  He carefully sands them down a bit and drills out a hollow space big enough to plant some small succulent plants.

Tom has a nice collection on his patio.

This is a very small cactus plant from Tom's garden.  See the tiny little green ball to the left?  That's the kind of plant Tom can put in those cholla holes and then watch them grow.

He has a good number of limbs started and has built himself a work station on his patio.  Phil (at the nursery) is making a big display in his showroom to support this new and growing project.

They even specialize the compost used to plant the items.

Tom's front yard is turning into a succulent garden display.  It will be fun to watch it grow.

Meanwhile, Arizona is still struggling with the virus issue:

PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey on Thursday capped restaurants at half of their capacity but declined to shut them down entirely as he looks to beat back one of the world's largest outbreaks of the coronavirus.

To facilitate our "stay at home" efforts, we placed a big order from Costco this week.
Mouse is THRILLED!!

I think we should order more items and gather more boxes and paper bags to keep the cats entertained.  Looks like they've already defeated Don's recent repair job of nailing down the corner-round.
