Updates

ROOM OPENINGS

Not everyone has access to the Nextdoor website so thought I would repost a few items here as I'm sure they are of interest to many residents.''

POTTERY STUDIO

From Julie Wolf:
Pottery Studio opening plans.  The park has given us the okay to open back up when we get the studio ready to operate with new safety procedures in place.

The pottery board members who are in charge of the summer studio will be prepping the rooms for smaller occupancy and social distancing as well as getting supplies obtained and ready for summer potters.  We are looking forward to making things again.

We plan to open on Tuesday, June 23, and then be open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday each week through the summer.  Hours to be finalized but probably 9-1, same as last summer.

Masks will be required and potters should bring in their own small pottery tools and glaze brushes and cloth to cover their own work while it dries.

More detailed information will be posted in the studio's poster case outside the studio door as well as in the potter's Facebook group.  There will be no summer orientation classes this year.

We all will be glad to be back in the studio and look forward to getting back to making pottery soon!

SEWING ROOM

Per a post by Kary Rowland, the sewing group is having a meeting Saturday at noon to discuss moving forward.

DEMONSTRATIONS:

We're thankful that demonstrations in Casa Grande remain peaceful as evidenced by numerous articles in today's Dispatch.

PALM TREES

Palm trees are coming in to full bloom so our streets will soon be covered in the annual white Arizona snow.  **Notice the little hummingbird at the end of the branch.  It's his favorite perch so he can chase the others away when they come to our feeders.

NEWS FROM KAT AND MOUSE

Kat loves to chew on the end of my drinking straw so now I have to keep a small plastic cap for protection.  Never a dull moment around here.

The little darlings have also discovered that if they claw at the quarter-round along the floors, they can manage to pull it loose.  Don's shopping list for his next trip to Home Depot will include more nails to secure the floors.
