Okay folks, this is the worst dust storm I have ever seen!!! It lasted about half an hour with dirt so thick we could hardly see across the street. The temperature was 104 at the start of the storm but dropped to 82 when it was over. All this dirt and not a drop of rain. The radar showed huge storms all around us. When the dirt finally let up so we could see the sky again, we saw black clouds and lots of lightning to the south of us. It is 9:00 pm now but we still haven’t had any rain. We could certainly use some to settle all this dirt.
After yesterday’s storm, I took time to blow off the patio, cleaned up the golf cart, and cleaned the grill so it would be clean for dinner tonight. HA!!! You should see the patio now!
Weatherbug on Don’s phone showed quite a storm all around us but not a drop of rain.
Check the view from my kitchen window!
Cleaning up tomorrow will be quite a chore.
As soon as the air cleared enough to breath, Don and I hopped in our cart to tour our houses. We saw a few places with some loose skirting, some missing car covers, a downed stop sign, and quite a bit of flying debris, but thankfully no major damage to any patios or homes.
