We awoke this morning at our usual weekday time of 5:00 a.m. Turned on the coffee pot, carried the cats out to their cage on the patio, went back for a fresh cup of java, and settled down to review plans for the day and discuss any unsolved world problems. Whoops..........5:30 brought some unexpected rain drops. Quickly checked the weather on our cell phones and saw a big green storm headed our way.
Quickly carried the cats back inside to safety as they tend to panic if raindrops should touch their fur! Moved the patio furniture under the protection of our patio roof and finally settled down to the first sip of that fresh coffee while we watched the sudden downpour.
It was BEAUTIFUL!! The temperature dropped down to 71 degrees!! That's the lowest it has been in a full two months!! It felt GREAT. Rain continued soft and steady until we accumulated .8 of an inch.
Our new weather station was fun to watch.
Later this afternoon it was still only 84 degrees and the sky was clear so Don brought out the drone to cruise over the Texas Roadhouse.
It was a lovely day!
