Birds, Parade, Masks and Cats

Pat LaFleur sent me a cute photo today.  She said Dennis was determined that they were going to spend a lovely evening around their fire pit.  Way to go, Dennis!  That's quite a task since he is in the deep snows of Alberta.

Dave Porterfield sent me these great hummingbird pictures.  They were able to witness Mom bringing food to her young one.

Here are the proud "grandparents" leaning over their patio railing to watch the action.

Don't forget the Easter parade scheduled for this Sunday!  Let's show our support for this precious day on the calendar.  If you choose not to ride your cart in the parade, be out on the street to wave and cheer them on.

Line up near the ballroom entrance at 9:30 this Sunday to make a 'Victory Lap' through the Park.      If you can't join us, won't you wave as we go by?

Every year the Koch grandkids came for a visit and would leave cute chalk drawings on Grandma's driveway as a loving reminder of their visit.  This picture is from 2019:

Unfortunately due to the current Virus issue, their visit was unavoidably canceled.  As a loving memory, the kids sketched their drawing at home and sent a photo to the Kochs here in Palm Creek.  Kathleen thoughtfully recreated their drawing on the driveway herself and sent them a return photo showing what she had done.

I thought it was a great story to share.  Stop by 1017 to see for yourself.

Meanwhile our PC Angels, aka Sewing Ladies, are still making and handing out face masks.  Bless them one and all.

Have you looked up into our clear blue sky lately?  Have you noticed that there are VERY FEW jet contrails?  Our airlines have truly dwindled during the pandemic.  The sky would normally be criss crossed with trails headed to Vegas, Phoenix or points beyond.

Readers are reminding me that I haven't posted any cat photos for a while so here you go.  Mouse loves to find a nice quiet place to hide.

Be it Don's dresser drawer:

or any thing that resembles a box.

You ALL have a great day and STAY SAFE!!
