Tree Trim and daily routines

We've been noticing large piles of bark at the base of the palms and wondered why the trimmers were doing that as it leaves the trees with big bare spots.  After closer inspection, I can certainly see why the tops of the trees are being stripped.

It's because these trees have to be climbed up to the top for trimming.  A worker climbs as high as the huge extension ladder will reach and then has to climb the rest of the way with a safety belt and shoe spikes.

The north gate house has recently been painted along with the black fence.  Looks nice.

Our maintenance team is painting all benches, trash cans & ashtrays black.  Will look nice when done.

Things are still very quiet without any scheduled activities.  We see bike riders, dog walkers, an occasional runner believe it or not, and some couples just out for a morning stroll.  This action is only in the early morn before the sun comes glaring down.  We still average 106 on a daily basis so we enjoy the early mornings around 80 to 85 for coffee out on our patio with the cats.

After time on the patio, both cats rush to the food dish for breakfast.

I truly enjoy playing Mahjong on line with friends in the afternoons.  It really helps pass the time and is lots of fun.  Facetime is wonderful and it feels like we are together instead of so many miles apart.  Kat keeps me company while he naps.

Both cats get frisky in the evenings and seem to run races throughout the house knocking over whatever gets in the way.  It is definitely time to romp, play with the toys, and beg for treats.  The green kick toy is a favorite.
