Bingo

Last night was the final bingo game for the season.  We took a moment to celebrate having Bill Nagy back as our caller for the evening as he has been battling health problems all season.  Bill is one of the original callers and has worked the bingo games through many years.  We not only thank him for his dedication to Palm Creek bingo but also for his years of service as a veteran.  He proudly wears his hat from the USS Roanoke.

The audience also gave a standing ovation to our "Lady of Bingo" Flo Fillipi to recognize her dedication to keeping the bingo program going for the last 19 years.

Good friend, Steve Harback, won the final black out game and went home with a check for $170.  Congratulations, Steve!  Great way to end the season.

I always admire the crazy costumes on this cactus along the Cole Circle route.  We "creekers" have fun at everything we do.

We live in a beautiful resort....especially for those of us who enjoy birds.  Becki and Jerry Andrews have a lovely spot by the pond on #18.  We spotted three cormorants sharing the sunny afternoon.

These birds are excellent fishermen.  Maybe too good for our small pond?  We watched closely as they would dive for a fish, bring it to the surface, and then toss it into the air so they could grab it by the head and swallow it head first.  Fascinating.
