Palm Trees are Growing!

This picture was taken in August of 2005

Same tree today in July 2019

We estimate the tree has grown at least 15 feet in the 14 years we have lived here.  I think the park will need new equipment pretty soon.  The really tall trees have been contracted out and that company comes in with special equipment for trimming.

Here's a short video of the entire trim process:

All this big heavy debris came off just our one tree.  Tons of stuff from our park to haul to the landfill.

Each branch is lined with very sharp thorns.  Heavy duty gloves are a must!

That tall bucket puts the tree trimmer even closer to our hot sun.  Whew!

Once we get through today at another 113 day, we get a refreshing cool down for a while.  Believe me.........that makes a difference.  Still no rain so our humidity stays low.  Yes, we need rain but No we don't like the humidity and thick air it leaves behind.  I don't know how our pioneer ancestors ever survived.

Have a GREAT day!
