Menu plus

Our salad bar was fantastic yesterday!  It will be available every other Thursday......unless one of the kitchen staff is on vacation.  Then it is impossible to do the salad bar with only two employees present.  Chef, Bridgette, and Connie can only do so much.  I'll try to give advance notice when it will be available again.

Because the kitchen is closed on Fridays and Sundays, the items in the "to go bar" were marked at 1/2 price on Thursday.  Great opportunity!

Saturday morning is "eggs to order" special served with breakfast potatoes and choice of sausage or bacon.  Place your order at the window and they will bring your meal to the table when it is ready.  Mark your calendars now for Saturday breakfasts.

The Weed Co. is here very busy at work spraying the pre-emergent.  The machine spreads the big areas and another tech follows by pulling the hose and getting the area the tractor can't reach.

I spied this beautiful cactus at site 1534.  Gorgeous blossoms!  These cactus blossoms are a "one day wonder" as that's all the longer they last.

The palm trees are all sprouting their blossom branches.  Those stalks will soon blossom and bring the thousands of white flowers to each stem.

Our May weather has been delightful.  Don and I (and the cats) enjoy our morning coffee on the patio.

Have a GREAT day!

Spring Update

It still cools down at night making our mornings absolutely beautiful.  I went for a nice walk in early dawn.  Mama duck and her tribe were resting in the grass when I went past.

When I returned, I was lucky enough to see them crossing the creek and be on their way.  There are several families around the park.

We see a good number of curve-billed thrashers here.  This morning, this fellow sat at the top of a branch and posed for the longest time.  Couldn't resist his photo.

The white egrets that stop by are certainly pretty against the green grass.

The hotel in front of the Promenade Mall is actively under construction.  It certainly looks big.

Here's the Sun Life medical building at the corner of Henness & Florence.

We're just amazed at the blocks and blocks of new homes being built behind that medical center.

Upon closer inspection, it looks like they're all waiting for a roofer.  They'd better come before our hot weather arrives.

And here's a quick look at the Aldi's store.

Those of you still here....don't miss the Taco Tuesday in the Three Palms Cafe.
Served Tuesday from 11 - 2 for $15.  Choice of ground beef or chicken street tacos served with Spanish rice and a churro.  See you there.

Breakfast at Three Palms Cafe

Today was the first Saturday breakfast at our "Three Palms Cafe".  Fantastic!  Congratulations to Chef, Bridgette, and Connie.

Buy your ticket at the window ($12) plus drinks.  Advance to the table and put your name on a plastic cup.  Fill it with whatever ingredients you want in your omelet.  Leave the cup with Chef while he starts cooking.  Go to the fruit bar where you can scoop up your potatoes and load up a fresh fruit dish.  They will bring your meal to your table when it is ready.

Make it a Saturday tradition.  Next Saturday will be "eggs to order" served with breakfast potatoes and your choice of sausage or bacon.  They will also have pancakes with maple syrup.

Here is the full menu for next week:

SPECIAL NEWS!!
Chef announced this week that due to popular requests, he will start serving salad bar on Thursdays!  I'm so surprised that they can set up that big salad bar for just one day.  That's a lot of work and a big investment so I certainly hope everyone participates.

I'll see you all at taco Tuesday!  😋

Shuffleboard

Spring time brings changes to Palm Creek.  The flowering petunias are gone and the new vinca plants are planted as they can usually endure the summer sun.  It must be a pain to get down and plant them all but our landscape crew has done a great job.  All the flower beds are now complete.

The large flocks of ducks have left leaving mostly nestling pairs as they raise their young ducklings.

The shuffleboard courts are being completely redone this summer.  It seems like one man is tackling the job single handedly.  All courts should be nice and level at completion.

Lots of work to do.

Our weather has been awesome through April and May.  The golfers must be having a great time with free golf now.

The Three Palms Cafe is now open and serving delicious lunch specials 5 days a week.  I'm guessing there will be heavy traffic for breakfast on Saturday mornings!  This week will be the omelet bar served with roasted potatoes.  Yum.

We have all laughed and commented on how traffic has dwindled on Florence Blvd.  Hobby Lobby is now open!  Jersey Mike's is scheduled to open this month.  Work continues on Highway 10 with the bridge overpass.

Computer Club is closed for the summer but our President, Dan Mayer, has not abandoned us and our need for information.  He is still posting any new items, newsletters, menu, etc. on the club website.
