Internet Maintenance
Just a reminder that Dish will be conducting maintenance on our WiFi system this morning beginning around 9 a.m. Dish will be making changes to their system which will require short, intermittent outages in the resort. It should not involve the whole resort at one time. It will be done in sections so only part of the Resort will be out at any given time. These outages should only last 10 minutes or so each time it happens but, of course, it could take longer depending on success. (LOL Murphy's Law) Hopefully, it will not affect the TV channels.

Boy's Choir and a Taco Dinner
The Phoenix Boy's Choir performed for us Sunday night.
It was really fun to watch these young boys in action. In addition to just enjoying their music, I kept thinking about how amazing it was to see such youngsters so well trained and rehearsed. Their dedication is very impressive. Their conductor must have a world of patience.
Tonight we enjoyed a taco dinner prepared by our dining staff.
Robin and her elves were busy getting our meals ready.
General Manager, Scott Houle was busy serving to the tables. Also serving were Marguarite and Gabby. It is always a pleasure to spend some casual time with them.
These dinner events are very popular and a good crowd was present to enjoy the evening not only for the good food but the fun social time with friends.

Chorus
Thank you to our Palm Creek chorus for a lovely Christmas concert Thursday night. How fun to see the participants having such a good time sharing their singing and music talents with friends.
Congratulations to Mary Hansen and Betty Preston for directing a lovely concert. And....hats off to Judy Tawney for her flute talent in accompanying the singers. It was a fun evening for a sell out crowd of over 400 appreciative people.
***A side note to the bingo players on Monday nights: Many know that as a caller, I have a standing joke that if anyone bingos on G55, they have the privilege of taking me to lunch. Lo and behold, Joy actually did it! She bingoed on G55 and sure enough, met me after the game and set a date for lunch at the Bistro. Thank you, Joy!!
We notice the details as Palm Creek continues upgrading the maintenance and upkeep of the grounds around the resort. We even got some painted trash bins this past week. Great improvement!
My two furry friends like to cuddle up in the evening but it gets pretty warm when they both keep me company at the same time.

Don has plenty of company when I'm gone during the day. Doesn't he look thrilled?

Casa Grande RC Flyers Holds Another Charity Event
The Casa Grande RC Flyers, an Academy Of Model Aeronautics “Award Of Excellence” and “Gold Level Leader” winning club, will hold their second charity event this winter season benefitting the Pets In Need Action League. The event will take place on Saturday December 14, 2019 from 8:00 AM until noon at the club airfield located at 2725 S Isom Road, which is across from the public shooting range. This event will consist of a radio-controlled model swap meet, free model airplane flying lessons, (weather permitting), and the opportunity to watch the club’s membership fly their aircraft. Some members may also be using the club’s improved model car race track. The event is free, as are all the club’s events, and the public is welcome to attend and enjoy the morning. Representatives from Pets In Need Action League will be on hand accepting donations, as well as offering coffee and pastries provided by a local bakery.
The Pets In Need Action League's primary goal is to keep pets with their families and out of animal shelters. They accomplish this through their free pet food bank, their spay-neuter assistance program and their humane education program, “Canines with Class”. They also strive to address the complex and serious issues of pet abandonment, animal cruelty and neglect, and dog and cat overpopulation.
In keeping with the Casa Grande RC Flyers mission to give back to the community, the club will be presenting a $1,000.00 contribution from the Diane Warren Foundation to the Pets In Need Action League. “We hope that the public will be generous and support this worthy charity when attending this event, as they have supported our other charity events” club president, Alan Friedman, said.
The Casa Grande RC Flyers is an Arizona non-profit corporation established to promote the hobby of model aviation and to give back and support the community. A schedule of their many other events, directions to their airfield, and membership information can be found on the club web site at www.CasaGrandeRCFlyers.com
