Independence Day

We can definitely tell today is a holiday as it is very very quiet around here.  No contractors hammering.  No gravel or cement trucks driving through.  No chain saws or leaf blowers.

We spotted a few folks either walking their dog OR walking their golf cart.  We must rise EARLY in the morning to enjoy any outdoor activities these days.

Awwww......this cactus plant at 1059 is putting out one last effort at blossoms.  Normally, the blossoms are quite a bit bigger but these last ditch efforts were small buds.

Like little miniatures so I found them fascinating.

Meanwhile.....Don is not excited about another picture of a flower but waits "patiently" while I photograph.

WOW!!!  I have never seen a palm tree with such long blossom stems!!!  They hang down almost to the ground!

Very unusual!!!!!

Don wanted you to notice that I sat comfortably in the cart while I sent him out into the sunshine to take these photos.

Hope all of you are spending time with family or friends on this lovely holiday.

We received a nice email from a Canadian friend.  I thought it was very thoughtful of them to take the time so am posting it here.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO OUR AMERICAN FRIENDS

HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY  ! ! !
